Senator Shehu Sani
In a statement after news emerged that he had been suspended by the party, the Senator accused the Kaduna State governor of orchestrating the move.
He also slammed the members of the party’s executive in the state, saying there were controlled by the governor, induced and misinformed.
Sani, who had an earlier suspension overturned by the national leadership of the APC, said the “new suspension” would not give the leaders of the party in the state “the public support they couldn’t gather with the “first suspension””.
“For a man who has been unable to address the pervasive insecurity and genocide in southern Kaduna for a man who has been unable to stem the tide of rampant kidnapping and abductions in Kaduna, “suspending” Shehu Sani cannot be counted as an achievement,” he said.
Continuing his attacks, Sani said the governor was nurtured by the Peoples Democratic Party and questioned his loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari.
He also suggested that the “suspension” would not stop him from working for Nigerians.
“We will continue to work for the masses and defend their interest,” Sani, who represents Kaduna Central in the Senate, said.
