The Enugu State House of Assembly on
Thursday summoned the Chief Medical Director, Enugu State University of
Science and Technology Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Dr. Gabriel Njeze, over
what they described as ‘poor services’ in the hospital.
The lawmakers directed the CMD to appear before the House on November 15.
The resolution to summon the CMD
followed a motion entitled, ‘Immediate invitation of the Chief Medical
Director of ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu to explain to the
House the conduct of affairs of the teaching hospital and why under his
watch, services of the teaching hospital have deteriorated abysmally.’
The motion was moved by Dr. Dan Ogbuabor.
